The Sublime - Château des Alpilles

I recently decided that I wanted to spend some days exploring Provence and had heard that Saint Remy is a perfect spot for food, shopping and really immersing yourself in the Provence lifestyle.

I selected Chateau Des Alpilles, a 5 star estate that is purely sublime at every level.

Located at the foot of the Alpilles, on the edge of Saint Rémy de Provence, it is the perfect location for feeling as though you're on a supreme private estate yet close enough to the town to also feel you're right in the heart of the activity.

As soon as you enter the premises you're transported into pure Provence . The beautiful driveway is lined by the most spectacular trees and exotic plants.

It is a truly intimate setting that the magnificently restored mansion and interior decor that will have you dreaming of France for years to come!

The charm and tranquility of this Chateau is truly sublime and I'm so excited to share my stay with you all!

The Chateau is everything I dreamed of and more. It's a family owned estate and the women in the family have run the business for 3 generations and their impeccable taste in interior design and architecture shows in everything, from the detailing on the curtains to the flower arrangements, this is truly the most stunning Chateau I've ever stayed in.

My son too was impressed with the magnificent grounds too there is so much to explore, they even have a tennis court and pool too!

As soon as you step in the doors you're greeted with opulent decadence - French provincial style :)

They have a beautiful cocktail bar that can be enjoyed during the day or at night... I wasn't drinking but if I could have... this is where you'd find me :)

Breakfast is served in the downstairs area and you can have it inside or outside too!

Did I mention they have the best scrambled eggs and bacon too!!!

I was one happy mumma at this Chateau.

I stayed in the Chateau Old Mansion, in a nice and large “Deluxe” double room, brightly lit by 2 or 4 windows, around 33 sq.m with king (200 cm) or queen (180 cm) size bed, en-suite bathroom, private toilet, air conditioning, satellite television, mini bar, safe, hair dryer and Wifi internet access - it had all the luxury fittings you'd expect from a 5 star hotel!

We literally spent hours just exploring the beautiful grounds.

We really never wanted to leave. It was such a unique and special place. A true oasis with everything you could imagine from a 5 star Chateau - pure decadence :)

We spent our last night in this magnificent Chateau having dinner at their amazing in-site restaurant too!

The restaurant has been in operation since 1994 with chef Mathias Bettinger at the helm!

He utilises the aromas of the south with refined, colorful and tasty dishes.

Whether in the salons of the Château, on the terrace or around the swimming pool, their butler Jean-Pierre Planchenault and his team do their utmost to ensure that you have a unique moment in this idyllic setting.

The two restaurants of the Château des Alpilles take you on a culinary journey in the warm, opulent and authentic atmosphere.

This Chateau lived up to and beyond what you'd expect from a 5 star Chateau in the south of France! From the moment you arrive you're made to feel as part of the family and the service is extraordinary that matches the decadent and stylish surroundings :) I already can't wait to visit another time!
