Parma - Dream Taste Explore
I decided to explore the historical side of Italy and visit the beautiful city of Parma.
Parma is a university town in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, famed for Parmesan cheese and Parma ham.
It has romanesque buildings, including the frescoed Parma Cathedral and the pink marble Baptistery, grace the city center.
We decided to embrace and immerse ourselves in the history of this beautiful city and stayed at the Palazzo Dalla Rosi Prati Hotel
The hotel is situated right in the heart of the city centre so if you're looking to access everything via foot then this is your place!
As soon as you walk through the doors two things immediately stand out, firstly you're transported back in time. The history of this residence dates back to the 1500's and the level of customer service and attention to detail is exceptional. You are made to feel part of the family and the entire hotel has a very homey sophisticated feel about it. It's a perfect place if you want to feel as though you actually live in Parma!
The hotel itself is rather artistic too with great paintings and if you came to Parma to sample some of the regions finest cheeses and delicacies then you're in the right spot as they have a shop on site with all the different types of cheeses and savoury delights you could possibly imagine.
Each room is designed in a specific style. Ours was very historical in feel and had the most beautiful views onto the town square and church.
I could have spent all day looking out the hotel window onto this stunning church
My son approved of the bed too - his signature jumping on the bed routine! And yes in case you were wondering the bed is extra firm and welcomes the best kind of sleep!
The room is also fully equipped with books and magazines and a sitting area to enjoy those quiet hours in the afternoon by the window. Oh and yes there is a mini kitchenette too with everything you need should you wish to eat in at any stage. Perhaps try some of the hotels finest delicacies in their on-site shop in the comfort of your room too!
Bathroom is fully equipped with all the toiletries too!
Just an example of some of the beautiful artwork on the wall in our room.
It was save to say mumma and bubba to be felt very at home here!
And when it came to exploring Parma everything you could need was right at your doorstep.
The churches in this town are just divine!
Oh an the Gelato is pretty good too :)
Thank you Palazzo Dalla Rosi Prati Hotel you really showed us an authentic Parma experience!
