Surfing In the City

Have you ever heard of people surfing in the city?? i'm Australian and just love the outdoors - I grew up on the beaches of Sydney, Australia, surfing, swimming and enjoying all of natures beautiful treasures!

However I never really got to experience parks - growing up, parks were really something you visited in the suburbs or in the cities on family outings - my childhood was primarily spent on the Northern beaches of Sydney - that is why when I recently visited Munich, Germany I was so excited to explore their never ending parklands The English Gardens that are literally in the middle of the city - they say in fact you can walk from one end of Munich to the other simply by foot or bicycle through parklands from one end to the other

So much do these Germans love the outdoors - they even have a manmade surf spot in the river called Eisbach - and to my surprise both professional and novice surfers brave the river rapids and surf there - watch my video below to see all the action!
