I embarked on the eternal city of Roma to discover the sweet life thanks to this quaint and remarkable villa, Hotel Villa Linneo

Situated close to the Spanish steps this villa was once a built by the navy and in the 1950's turned into a "clubbino" for the Roman elite and attracted some of the most important personalities in Rome!

Then later arrived this boutique hotel thanks to the architect Giorgio Ferreri and interior designer Livia Rebecchini,

As soon as you enter this villa oasis you instantly feel at home - the sleek furnishings and beautifully designed lobby, dining room and bedrooms are truly lavish.

Here are some of my favorite moments from my brief stay

the reading room is so so cosy!

dining room goals!

I was a little jetlagged so was in need of some caffeine!!

books for days!

The lobby had this guy in it too - he was super friendly:) disclaimer - not part of the furniture

Pretty neat set of golf clubs in the lobby too!

after a long flight it was definitely time for some tea!

tea and an italian espresso per favore!

one happy traveler with tea in hand!

oh and this guy showed me how to drink real Italian espresso - disclaimer though - he's not Italian - he's Austrian but same same :)

Step one - one must pout before

one quick sip

all of it

and then you can sit back and relax - oh the joys of coffee and cigarillos in the monring

oh and before I forget - the room was so spacious but most of all I loved the bathroom and bath tub - check it out!

Until next time Hotel Vila Linneo - please stay sweet like your delicious tea and coffee!
