Silk Merchant in NYC

I don't know about you but I love anything silk... I mean who doesn't right?

That's why I'm so happy to share with you this Australian and silky designer - The Silk Merchant.

I was recently lucky enough to try their silky goods and one of my fave pieces from their latest collection - the Vanilla Cocoon Bag.

The Silk Merchant is a West Australian based brand, retailing authentic, uniquely designed silk accessories inspired by global wonderings.

At The Silk Merchant, they design and create authentic silk pieces inspired by their travels around the globe, including a carefully curated selection of silk handbags, clutches and scarves.

They also aim to preserve the traditional art of silk-weaving, design and production of all silks from the arduous task of harvesting the silkworms and preparing the intricate looms to weaving the silks (which are handwoven using traditional techniques passed down through the generations).

Sometimes the best things are the organic materials in life - just like true love really - the things you love are often the best - but just like a fine piece of fabric like silk - love too is multi-layered and not always black and white
